Victor Newman, CPA, CFP®
Victor has 25 years of experience in public accounting assisting thousands of individuals and small businesses with tax planning and preparation. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he became a certified public accountant in 1990. Working with clients in those early years Victor observed that clients were exposed to numerous financial risks of which they were not even aware.
He determined that a holistic approach to a clients’ finances was necessary so the client could most cost effectively pursue their long-term financial goals. In order to assist clients with that holistic approach, Victor became a certified financial planner in 1994.
“My mission is to use a myriad of financial tools in a tax efficient manner in order to reduce the overall cost to the client, thus freeing up more money for the client to use in order to optimize the client’s chance of success,” says Victor.
Victor knows that most clients have never mapped out a plan by which they would quantify the resources they currently have, determine and quantify the goals they would like to pursue, then based upon realistic expectations, determine how to use their resources to effectively fund and monitor those goals.
Commencing in 1988, Victor began his public accounting career as an entry-level accountant working for a local CPA firm and over time rising to a position of manager. In 1997 he started Victor Newman & Company, LLC (now Newman Wealth & Tax Advisors) in order to provide service to clients as a “financial one shop stop” using this holistic approach.
Victor and his wife Deborah work together at the firm and live in Columbus, Ohio. Victor enjoys seeing his clients pursue their goals, spending time with his wife, learning new things, seeing old friends and meeting new people, eating well and trying to stay in shape.
